Colin Powell Endorses Obama for President
Former US Secretary of State Colin Powell crossed party lines today when he appears at NBC’s ‘Meet the Press’ to endorse Illinois Senator, Barrack Obama for President.
Mr. Powell, who happens to be considered by many as the most-likely candidate to become the first African-American president, said in the NBC interview that he is not supporting Obama because of his race but rather, he is supporting the Democrat presidential candidate due to the recent narrow approach of the Republican Party.
Powell also stated that it isn’t easy for him to disappoint Senator John McCain as he emphasized that he examined both campaigns for the past six or seven weeks. However, as he follows on the campaigns, Powell sees that Mr. McCain was a little unsure on how to deal with the economic problems. Powell also expressed concern on McCain’s pick for vice president as he perceives that Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin is not ready to become a president compared to Delaware Senator Joe Biden who is ready to become a president anytime. Powell also added than even though McCain would be a good president, Obama’s election to presidency is a transformational figure and could lead to a generational change.
Oh well, with the sudden turn of events, can this be a sign that Obama is really heading to the White House?

hehehe you know i got an email that when Obama wins, white house will never be called a white house but a black house (racist isn’t it?) but for me Im also for Obama because I think he is the candidate who has plans for our countrymen in America plus the fact that he is not for war. If Powell endorses Obama hmmm I see it as a race decision along with a good platform of Obama plus the fact that he represents all the migrants in the US, LOL ( diba nga sabi galing siya sa NIgeria ba yun?)

@joanjoyce
i do agree with you sis. obama is like a child of the world. he has an american mom, a nigerian dad, an indonesian step-dad and sister so i think he’ll think a lot of things for these races. in addition, he seems to be a resurrected jfk. he’s so idealistic. he’s a breath of fresh air!
