It has been reported all over the universe that Sarah Palin, the Republican Vice President nominee has been successfully tricked by a Quebec comedy duo, The Masked Avengers. The comedians who posed as French President Nicolas Sarkozy really made headlines all over the world because they made Palin believed that she was indeed chatting with Sarkozy. Listen carefully to this video, it makes me wonder how clueless she is:

I personally believe that regardless of the fact that the French accent is well-mannered, Governor Palin should have noted several clues that she is being tricked during the call!

it must be hard for Sarah Palin, she’s been the target of some of the nastiest jokes and political satires in America. Now, she’s broken through boundaries by going international.

Power hungry Palin should have turned down McCain’s VP Offer because she knows she’s not ready. It’s not that she’s a WOMAN – she just doen’t know where Russia is! Therefore, if she’s subjected to a lot of nasty joke, it’s a fair game. That’s what happens when you have some personal self-serving objectives over some important national issues. There’s Lieberman who is better and it’s also McCain’s fault. He’s power greedy as well. Both of them at fault. Fair game to both. Leche nila! Hmpt!

If they did this to Obama or any other candidate, the reaction would have been the same or much worse…
…and I bet her staff went through hell for actually taking the call and passing it to her.
It was funny but very inappropriate, but that’s what pranks are supposed to be.

I think it is not the fault of Sarah Palin if she was made to believe that she was actually talking to the President of France. It is not a matter of gullibility but a matter of a person who can trust people. If those she trusted betray her trust, it is the fault of the lying person not her. Her simplicity and her willingness to trust people at face value is simply amazing. I think it is more to her credit than a slur on her credentials. We don’t want to have a distrustful Vice President of the United States don’t we? Thanks for the post. God bless.
