Four finalists were now chosen to compete for the winner of the ‘Beauty With A Purpose’ award. They were selected among 100 projects executed by the competing delegates.

The top 4 finalists were chosen based on the social and charity work they implemented in their home countries upon being crowned. The winner of this title will automatically advance to the Semi Finals. The finalists are:

MISS HUNGARY
For working with the NEM ADOM FEL Foundation, 24 years-old Szilvia Freire dedicated to the awareness that handicapped and disabled people are of value to our society, and to make these individuals feel accepted.

MISS KENYA
Ruth Kinuthia works with a school in the slums of Nairobi mainly for students who have been orphaned by HIV AIDS, helping raise funds for the sustenance of the school, as well as being a role model for students.

MISS MEXICO
Anagabriela Espinoza assists the Casa Hogar of Jilotepec, “Ayuda y Solidaridad con las Niñas de la Calle”, which means help and solidarity with little girls from the streets. 20 years-old Anagaby created a dynamic game called “Pass the Crown” where she would ask the children about their best personal quality, and then award them a tiara.

MISS TRINIDAD & TOBAGO
For working with the Just Because Foundation, Gabrielle Walcott works to give hope and health alternatives to children living with cancer. While working with them, the 23 years-old beauty queen decided to create hospitable conditions for these children since the present ones were not adequate. Gabrielle helped raise about $100,000 in Charity for the creation of a new children’s ward.

Personal observation: No one from Asia became a finalist this year for a ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ award. Last Asian to win this award was Eun Young Oh of Korea in 2005.

Personal forecast: In my opinion, it’s a toss between Kenya and Trinidad & Tobago.

To add excitement, the winner will be announced during the telecast on December 13th. This award will also earns her a spot in semi-finalists circle and a chance to win the 58th Miss World crown in Johannesburg, South Africa.
