'Tis the Season of Gift Giving

Dear Bloggery,

At last, our Kris Kringle has ended last Friday but you know, I can’t help but to laugh on how chaotic my Secret Santa has been for the past one week. Yeah, I admit it, I never enjoyed the ‘Monito/Monita thing’ or the ‘Kris Kringle’ in our office since it just made my head ache because of the gifts I received. Gosh, who wouldn’t? Read on…

Day 1, December 15, 2008 ‘ Something Soft’
Day 1 was the easiest day ever as I saw a lot of soft things in the gift shop. I have chosen a stress ball as a gift and my colleague liked it. Good grief! However, I somewhat didn’t like what I have received that day because I was never fond of teddy bears.

Day 2, December 16, 2008 ‘ Something shiny‘
Darn, this one made my head spin as I first thought of wrapping an aluminium paper! I was horrified on the something shiny thing as I was trying to be sensible in giving a gift. What also pained me was the fact that I have picked a male monito (we pick a ‘baby’ every day) for the second time in a row. Marcella Accessories Shop saved the day since I bought a dog tag cum key chain.  Hmmm, I really don’t know if the person liked the gift but I kept on smiling to him that day. But anyway on day 2, I was also unfortunate to receive a small planner and a picture frame as shiny gifts. Oh well, I understood the picture frame but I was not sure about the small planner gift because I don’t find them so shiny.

Day 3, December 17, 2008 ‘Something Round‘
Day 3 was okay too since looking for round things were a breeze. And since I was trying to be creative that day, I have chosen to give my monito a necklace with a round pendant which I have found in Marcella Shop (yeah, it’s a boy again, grrr…). Thank goodness he likes it but I didn’t feel the same way for the gifts that I received – I got a sticky round pen and handcuffs. Geez, what shall I do with the handcuffs? Hey, I am not a cop!!!! Oh well, sige na nga! It’s the thought that counts! *lol* hahaha….

Day 4, December 18, 2008 ‘Something Cute’
I finally realized on Day 4 that I am not creative in giving gifts this year.  Poor me as I felt my ‘blandness’ when the recipient opened the gift and he saw a keychain inside. I was so curious too if he liked it… but what the heck, at least he didn’t receive a sticky toy rat and a sticky frog like my friend! My friend cried pa nga when she opened the gift because rats frightened her! As for me, I received a keychain too that resembles a pig and a snail. Grabe, our something cute theme really became scary. Ibang klase talaga yung cute sa iba! *lol*

Day 5, December 19, 2008 ‘ Something Hairy‘
This was the hardest day to gift hunt. Hello? Something hairy was really way beyond my league!?! At first, I have thought of buying a wig but it was so expensive so I opted for feathers instead….hehehe…hindi ako sumunod sa rules! For the last day, I bought a furry ducky that hops. The whole team liked the duck, I was not sure about the recipient though! Hahaha…. As expected, the something hairy was the hardest so I received a furry coin purse wallet in the Kris Kringle. Oh gosh, what will I do with it now? I don’t like furs pa naman. But anyway, I will be keeping it as a remembrance.

And that ends my  wacky Kris Kringle guys and gals. Very horrible, right? Anyway, better luck next year!
