My Shopaholic Confession
My name is Snow and I’m a shopaholic!
Yes dear readers, I started my ‘love affair’ with shopping right after I entered the workforce. I remember it vividly like it was yesterday. I was just 20 years old then…
Being hired 15 days after graduation in a leading commercial bank in Makati City was one of the most gratifying moment of my life as I never did imagine myself of landing a job immediately right after college. I remember that most of my friends in college were so proud of me since I was one of the first female in the batch to have a job right away. Up to now, it really made me confident as I personally think of it as an achievement. Anyway, back to my story…
The first four days in the office was okay since the corporate attire were tailored-made uniforms but it was during Fridays that I realized that I was out of place because my outfit reminded me so much of my college days. Yeah, I can hear them whispering, “Her look is not so corporate.†Oh gosh, this made me so sad and my self-esteem plunged at the bottom. It was a pitiful 2 months too because I really don’t know what to wear. I told myself, “I probably looked like an eyesore to them.â€
So one day after I left my work at 6pm, I convinced myself to stroll at the malls to buy some ‘corporate clothes’ to wear. I guess it was my lucky day since all the sales ladies I approached that time were so helpful that they didn’t bother me trying all the ‘corporate outfit’ that I wanted to wear. It was so fun that I started to set a date for my ‘shopping moment’. I guess I became so comfortable with my very first experience that’s why up to this point, my ‘shopping moment’ turns into a routine every pay check!
Yeah, dear readers, I am indeed a self-confessed shopaholic because yours truly never stop in buying clothes, shoes, cosmetics or bags for me, my son and my husband every pay day. Gosh, it’s like I’m going to have a fever if I don’t buy at least one new blouse or cute sandals in a month! I don’t know, call me nuts or whatever but it’s really hard to deny that I’m an impulsive shopper! I believe I’m 100% guilty of this ‘addiction’ because even my dear husband knows that I’m unstoppable inside the mall. In fact, he is still so fascinated to see me getting ‘stronger’ each time I went out of a boutique with a new purchase! *lol*

OMG! I’m a shopaholic too! I know what you mean, every payday just feels like shopping day! I can’t help it. It’s like my body’s already pushing me to the mall!

ako naman lhurey, i allocate my shopping money para naman may pang-gastos…medyo savvy shopaholic ang lola snow mo…once i bought what i wanted i stop…tapos next payday ulit! *lol*

late bloomer ka pala, hahaha. ako namimitas ng kangkong sa likod ng bahay namin at binebenta ko sa palengke para kapag may pera na ako, uubusin ko yon para mag shopping sa palengke, hahaha. mga grade school ako nun

hay naku sis, medyo late bloomer nga talaga ako. kasi naman nung grade school ako hindi ko kilala ang pera. puro pagkain sa lunchbox ang baon ko tapos nung highschool ko lang napansin na mahalaga pala ang pera kasi yung mga kaklase ko eh naku, bumibili instead na nagbabaon sa school..

hindi naman masyado iAN…pero there is really something in shopping! nakakalakas ng pakiramdam…heto nga tinatawag ako nung eyeshadow sa ‘the face shop’ oh….i can hear the glittery cream eyeshadow screaming my name…bilhin ko daw siya…hehehe….
