Touch a Blogger: Tie a Yellow Ribbon for Cory Aquino!
La Kapitana of Barrio Siete has initiated a campaign for former President Corazon Aquino and I would like to follow what my beloved barrio and fellow bloggers has just started in the blogosphere.
As you all know, Corazon Aquino is facing the toughest battle in her life now due to colon cancer. She needs our prayers and support. Therefore, I am humbly inviting all my fellow bloggers to join this loving tribute to Tita Cory. Here’s what you can do:
- Create an entry entitled: ”Touch a blogger: Tie a yellow ribbon for Cory Aquino!”. A link to this original entry will be appreciated, but is not required.
- Post a yellow ribbon in your blog for President Cory Aquino. Whatever form of yellow ribbon that your creative imagination can come up with.
- Invite other bloggers to tie a yellow ribbon for Cory.
To Tita Cory:
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for giving back the democracy to the Filipino people and by doing your best effort to continue the fight for it. As a Filipina, I also truly admire you as the strength and resilience you have shown throughout your presidency in handling the obstacles of getting the power from a dictator and numerous uprising were such a great feat!
You are truly one in a million because you have handled the country with dignity and grace. No one comes close, really.
You know what, the blogosphere is wishing you to recover. So in our own little way, we are doing this thing for you to make you feel better and to also know that you are truly loved.
Get well soon Madam Cory. Our prayers are with you…

alam mo, despite the challenges and intrigues during her administration, she remained loved by the people. samantalang yung ibang ex-pres, we all see them as opportunists, never as elder statesmen. all we can do really is to pray for her.

thanks dinah. i am quite emotional because a good person should not suffer eh. i am not a super duper fan naman of cory aquino pero i can feel her sincerity kasi. hindi siya katulad ng ibang mga politician na nasisilaw sa fame, power or fortune. bihira katulad niya. i wish madam cory well…

kahit na hindi ko masyadong alam ang pamilyang aquino,… i’ll always pray for the recovery of mrs. aquino. although shes not in the position as the president of the philippnes these days, but, i still salute her administration for restoring the democracy in the philippines… maam my prayer will always be with you…

likewise filiam. ninoy played an important part in our history and so as his wife, cory. i will always admire cory aquino for being a leader without an ego of the politicians nowadays. she never abused her power or capitalize from it. sino hindi malulungkot.

Naku gurl nagulat nga ako. Hindi kasi ako nakakapanood ng tv lagi dahil sa aking trabaho kaya sobrang nag-blush ako nung napanuod ko ito just now. La Kapitana, grabe -- hanga talaga ako sa iyong blog campaign, kasi ikaw naman talaga ang nagsimula nito at syempre bonggang-bongga ka talaga kasi na feature ka naman sa ANC!

1. I have a high respect for Madam Cory Aquino. I also want her to get well soon. Sana nga may miracle.
2. I 100% believe in La Kapitana’s (aka Reyna Elena) writing project. This is a noble blog awareness campaign plus it shows our love to the symbol of democracy.
3. I will forever support Barrio Siete. I love our barrio sis…

Not being negative here but prayers won’t make her well… No matter how much healing masses will be held for her, it won’t work!
Lalo na yang mga healing masses na started by politicians? Lalo lang sasama ang kalagayan ni Mrs. Aquino… Kasi, pakitang tao lang yang mga healing masses na yan eh… nagpapabango lang ng pangalan ang mga pulitikong yan… Kung gusto nilang gumaling si Mrs. Aquino, they should go to their rooms, turn down the lights, and pray silently…
Even you guys, na nagpopost ng yellow ribbons sa blogs nila, that won’t work… Say silent prayers for her… No offense to anyone but as the bible says, prayers made in public won’t be answered…
