My Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs of 2009
Coming up with my own list is no easy task as there are tons of new blogs out there deserving of the title!
But in the tradition of choosing new blogs that create a gazillion of buzz in the blogosphere, I am nominating my personal favorites to support the writing project spearheaded by Janette Toral.
Listed below are my Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs of 2009 in random order:
1. Barrio Siete
The alternative collective blog is definitely a breath of fresh air in the blogosphere as the writers talk the talk, and walk the walk of its target audience — the socio-economic group who do not use pretentious and intellectual language that can not be grasped by ordinary human beings.
…And with an Alexa traffic rank of 525,142 as of this writing plus a 9.9 min/day average time a reader spent on this site, it is really no wonder why the virtual barrio of the La Kapitana is making a big splash unlike any other in the blogosphere nowadays.
Go, go, go Barrio Siete! 
Like Barrio Siete, Ms. Silver‘s blog is not for a reader with a weak heart as the blogger gives a fiery commentary on current affairs and what really matters. Enough said.
3. The Struggling Blogger
If Silver’s blog is not for the weak heart – Roy de la Cruz, the author behind The Struggling Blogger is a blogger with ‘a heart’ because he pours a lot of effort writing on his numerous blogs and still doesn’t stop creating for more sensible blogs for us to read on. I also admire this person for being a responsible parent to his kids.
4. Writing To Exhale
Roy may have all the heart in blogging but Jan Geronimo, the writer of Writing To Exhale is a surefire hit in catching my attention as this gentleman have swayed me with witty anecdotes in every blog entry and commentaries.
So, blogging world – I believe it is recommended to include him in any blogging events because his words of wisdom will certainly become the life of any given party!
5. Zorlone
Jan could be the wittiest guy out there but Doctor Zorlone, the author of the blog with the same name is the most romantic guy (hands down) in the Pinoy blogging kingdom at the moment! Armed with a Shakespearean attitude and good looks, this medical doctor will definitely awake you with his regular dose of prose poetry.
6. Fatherblogger
The five influential blogs I described above will surely flutter your heart and feed your mind but Angel Cuala of Father Blogger will show you the ropes with his informative thoughts and ‘How-Tos’ of life in general. I have been reading his previous posts for sometime now so I must say that reading the blog is like ‘listening a responsible father guiding a son/daughter’ in a different way.
Fatherblogger, I want you to know that you are a rare gem in the blogosphere!
7. Jena Isle’s Random Thoughts
Like the rest of the blogs I have enumerated above, Jena Isle’s Random Thoughts is another great blog that should be checked out by all the readers out there. Her random thoughts about marriage and life are a must read for every couple who wants to spice up their relationships.
Just like Silver and Jena, Mahalia of Chocolateword is an extraordinaire in blogging but her forte is about family and frugality. A mommy blogger just like me, I also find her fascinating because she has the time to provide reader with a lot of informative blogs and at the same time, has the stamina to take care of her family.
Kudos to this Super Mommy!
9. Adaphobic
The lady bloggers I have mentioned above uses their keyboards to express their thoughts. Ada on the other hand uses her camera to capture blog events and press conferences unlike any other. The youth-oriented feel and the lovely pictures will tell you that she enjoyed blogging and every thing in between.
Atta girl! 
10. Dear Bloggery
Francois de la Rochefoucauld once said that “Self-love is the greatest of all flatterers”.
So…
I am nominating my uber cute blog for the Top 10 because this blog has influenced me to be more passionate about blogging.
Whew, thank God I am finally done! Pero…
Honestly, I still think there are more blogs needed to be included. In my own opinion, other notable blogs worthy of the accolades too are Social Media Philippines, Patay Gutom, Millionaire Acts, Lets Go Sago, His Name is Dencios, DesertFishing, It’s Johnonymous, Make or Break, Extra Super Special Batchoy with Egg and Blog From Cebu.
However…
Sayang, hindi puwedeng maglagay ng 10.2, 10.3, 10.4, 10.5 eh!
Anyways…
