What? Willie Revillame for Senator?!?!

Hold your horses, “Wowowee” fanatics…
Nacionalista Party Spokesman Gilbert Remulla clarified that ABS-CBN host Willie Revillame was not offered an elective post under NP. He also denied reports that Senator Manuel ‘Manny’ Villar courted Revillame to be his presidential running mate.
In an interview with GMA-7’s morning show “Unang Hirit”, NP Spokesman Gilbert Gilbert Remulla said that:
Not once na pinag-usapan ‘yan. Kaya sa lahat ng nag-titsismis diyan, wala po’ng katotohanan ‘yon (Not once did the party discuss the matter. So to all those spreading those rumors, there is no truth to what you are saying)
Remulla also added that Revillame’s inclusion in the NP’s senatorial lineup is possible. Rumor has it that Villar is willing to include the “Wowowee” host in his party’s senatorial lineup.
Well, if I will be given a chance to speak with Senator Manny Villar and his party, I will advice them to rethink about this matter because:
Willie Revillame’s inclusion will not boost the popularity of your Nacionalista Party, your presidential bid or anything for that matter in the upcoming May 2010 elections. While I agree that Willie is a crowd pleaser, let us all be reminded that a lot of Filipinos can’t still ‘move on’ with the disrespectful comments he said on-the-air while ABS-CBN is giving way to the funeral of President Corazon Aquino.
Have you thought about the reactions of all the people (read: not just the “Wowowee” viewers) if Revillame becomes a senator? Well, making it even a possibility with an ongoing petition will only make me think twice about the purpose.
Just my 2 cents here.

It seems that famous people tend to dream of getting higher positions instead of starting from below to learn. But now, sino nga ba namang artista ang gusto mag umpisa as baranggay captain? Councilor man lang sana para matutunan nila politics.
Sample, first day ni Lito Lapid sa Senate, langya itim na barong ba naman sinuot. Mababw na example ito pero, you probably know where I’m coming from.
@Kuya Rob – Nakakainis nga kasi famous people like Willie are dreaming of higher position agad samantalang ni hindi nila alam kung ano ang law or proper decorum. Hindi ganyang tao ang dapat maupo sa puesto kaya nga siguro hindi umuunlad ang Pinas.
If that happens, I’d rather stay here and get my family back home. Lesser evil if I may say. Is this the future of our country? Wala na bang magbabago?

I recently found out that there was this EVEN DEMATA in youtube who got a lot of “pasabog” about Willie. I just don’t know if those accusations are true. Try to search it on Youtube and watch the videos.
