Larissa Ramos from Brazil is Miss Earth 2009!
Miss Brazil is Miss Earth 2009
Larissa Ramos, a biology student from Brazil was crowned Miss Earth 2009 in Boracay, Philippines yesterday night (November 22). She bested 79 contestants in this 9th edition of the contest.
Hometown girl and pre-pageant favorite Sandra Inez Seifert from the Philippines clinched the title of Miss Air (1st runner-up). She also won the Best in Swimsuit and Best in Long Gown awards during the preliminaries.
Jessica Barboza from Venezuela got the Miss Water title (2nd runner-up) and Alejandra Echevarria from Spain was Miss Fire (3rd runner-up).
Rounding-up the top 8 finalists were the delegates from Colombia, Martiniquie, Poland and Thailand, Martinique.
Contestants from India, Korea, Georgia, France, Paraguay, Singapore and South Africa completed the Top 16 semi finalists.

I really wished Sandra won but I know it’ll be a very controversial win. Second place finish isn’t bad at all and Larissa deserve the title. Congratulations!
