It was a night of glitz and glamour at the Araneta Coliseum tonight as the Bb. Pilipinas Charities Inc. has just crowned the three winners for the year 2010!

The Bb. Pilipinas 2010 Beauty Pageant was held tonight (March 6) at the Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City and as a tradition, the Bb. Pilipinas 2009 winners crowned their successors at the end of the event.
Winners of the prestigious beauty pageant will represent the Philippines in the Miss Universe, Miss World and Miss International Beauty Pageants.

I thought Helen Nicolette Henson will make it on top 3.. kaya lang nag 2nd runner up lang sya, pero ok na din..
i was very satisfied that maria venus raj is going to the universe. i was disappointed, very even, that gwendolyn ruais didn’t make it as a winner, her q and a is pretty decent. and agree with gatbondon. that gurl is just like janina san miguel. even worst. her reaction when she won the crown. she doesnt have any poise at all. she looked like she won a bingo in a plaza of some sort. … tsk tsk… so they plan to send her with an interpreter? such a shame…
I believe all the gurls won on bb pilipinas deserve thier crown.
Miss Gotbonton as also the same attitude of Janina San Miguel the different is she play safe on her answer. I believe she will rock on miss world pagent because past of these decades as I observed on MS WORLD pagent most of thier winner are truly represented thier country- physically, attitude and freshness.
Miss Gotbonton as this innocent style and truly filipina beauty. The fact that she has this guts to speak in tagalog eventhough that she know to herself that she will not to win. She risks.
I like her attitude.
Very disappointing results, as always. Helen Nicolette Henson should’ve been the Bb. Pilipinas Ms. World, or Ms. Universe. I don’t know how they came up with this results ugggghhhh… So disappointed. I admire Gotbonton for having the courage to even join this competition. But honestly, she is not good enough to be a title holder as Ms. World. I do agree with a lot of people that she is another Janina San Miguel. Sorry Gotbonton, yes your beauty is so Filipina, but the whole package wise ( beauty,brain) you need to practice more. But in the end, what can we do? Actually I just wanted to get that off my chest. At least I’ve said my piece. To Gotbonton, practice harder and make us all proud. Hwag tatangatanga.

It was reported that the organization discovered the inaccuracy when when both Venus and her mother said that she was born in Doha, Qata but on legal documents they submitted, it was declared that she was born in the Philippines. The good news is Ms. Philippines placed in the top five! During the 60′s, 70′s and early 80′s, she was a regular fixture in the semi-final round. Hope the organizers can use Ms. Venus Raj’s 4th runner-up finish as a spring board to revitalize what should be a yearly tradition. Dark skinned, round eyed and elegance that embodies an island and global beauty, Ms. Philippines 2010 definitely was a beauty! Send more like her and stop sending delegates that try to embody pale or light-skinned anemic features, which seemed to have been the case in recent years.

people in the philippines revere ‘light’ skin. it has something to do with their colonial past with spain. you must live in hawaii, california or florida where tanned skin means beauty, wellness and health. don’t hate. some filipino people look chinese and can’t help it…oh yes, congratulations miss philippines 2010. job well done.
