Meet Helen Nicolette Henson: (The newly appointed) Bb. Pilipinas–Universe 2010!
Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI) has now officially announced that Helen Nicolette Henson will assume the title and the responsibilities of Bb. Pilipinas-Universe 2010 crown. The appointment happened right after the dethronement of Maria Venus Raj due to questionable documentations of her birth certificate.
Nicolette, who is fondly called Nikette or Nikki by her friends, has a degree in Broadcast Journalism. She is currently working as a travel writer, host and model. A pageant veteran, Henson was also crowned Mutya ng San Fernando 2006 and Mutya ng Kapampangan 2006 prior joining Bb. Pilipinas 2010.
Interestingly, Henson was also a major favorite during the Bb. Pilipinas 2010 beauty pageant as she was awarded Miss Photogenic, Miss Philippine Air Lines and Miss Del Monte Fit ‘N Right. One of the big favorites, she finished as 2nd Runner up.
Indeed, the BPCI announcement came as a surprise but it has been observed that Henson’s appointment also pleased local pageant enthusiasts because the newly appointed queen has been perceived by pageant fans worthy of any of the 3 crowns during the coronation night.
