I righted that mistake by personally declaring a sad fact about my humble international beginnings. Why can't we use our national language? This will also open wider the field in Binibining Pilipinas pageants, i.e., those who are afraid their English is not up to par would be encouraged to join the beauty contest, because being fluent in English is not an indication of intelligence.
