Miss Philippines Luisa Beltran Wins Bride of the World 2010

Luisa Beltran of the Philippines was crowned Bride of the World 2010. The beauty contest was held on December 9 at the Mediacorp Theatre Caldecott Hill in Singapore. The former Bb. Pilipinas 2007 candidate bested other37 contestants from different countries and territories. Runner-ups came from Bolivia, Ukraine, Russia and Peru. While, the semifinalists came from Sri Lanka, Nigeria, Denmark, Korea, Germany, Moldovia, Estonia, Lithuania, Malta and Romania.

Interestingly, the pageant is different from other beauty contests out there as the candidates competed in their national costumes, sportswear instead of swimsuit, wedding gowns instead evening gowns and lastly, the traditional question and answer portion.
