The Regine Velasquez and Ogie Alcasid nuptial held last December 22, 2010 at Punta Fuego Resort in Nasugbu, Batangas is probably one of the showbiz events that I have missed to follow during the holiday season as I was sooo busy with everything!

Anyway, even though that I didn’t have the chance to blog about it before, I have decided to check out the articles regarding their wedding again because of the brides’ ‘talked about’ Monique Lhuillier red mermaid gown.

My thoughts?

The red gown was tastefully done by Ms. Lhuillier and it was really high fashion. The color also brought out the fair complexion of the bride.

But if I were Regine, I would have opted to wear a white gown on my wedding day as the tradition calls for it. Filipina brides wear white gown!

In any case…

Kudos to Regine for wearing a ‘daring color’ to her wedding day!

Your unconventional wedding too made me think that I should not be astounded to see a Filipina wearing a green or black gown on her big event.

Just my two cents!
