Miss Bahamas Universe 2011 Anastagia Pierre
American-born Haitian-Bahamian Anastagia Pierre was crowned Miss Bahamas Universe 2011 on May 1, 2011 at the Atlantis Theater in Paradise Island, Bahamas. The 22 year old winner commercial model who stands 1.77 m (5 ft 10 in) will represent Bahamas in the Miss Universe 2011 beauty pageant in in São Paolo, Brazil on September 12, 2011.
Pierre was a favorite during the Miss Bahamas 2011 beauty pageant due to her extensive pageant experience. She has previously competed at Miss Teen USA 2004 as Miss Florida Teen USA. She has also won Miss Florida USA 2009 and competed the Miss USA beauty pageant in the same year. Moreover, she was a second runner-up at the Miss Intercontinental 2010 where she represents the Bahamas.
Sasha Joyce and Anastagia Pierre
Pierre was crowned along with 23 year old Sasha Joyce, who earned her title of Miss World Bahamas 2011. Joyce will represent her country in the Miss World 2011 beauty finals at China on November 2011.
