Miss World Japan 2012 Nozomi Igarashi

Nozomi Igarashi was chosen to represent Japan in Miss World 2012. The 24-year-old corporate employee from Yamagata Prefecture will travel to Ordos, Inner Mongolia in July and will try to become the first Japanese Miss World. She stands 1.76 m tall.

Miss World Japan 2012 Nozomi Igarashi has been into Japan’s pageant scene for quite sometime now. She is first seen as one of the 15 finalists in the Miss Universe Japan 2011 pageant and recently, as a runner-up at the Miss International Japan 2012 held in Tokyo wherein Ikumi Yoshimatsu was declared the winner of the pageant. The announcement was made by the International Culture Association, license holders of Miss World in Japan.
