Jessica Sanchez and Phillip Phillips earned the Top 2 spot in the “American Idol” Season 11 finals night next week!

Jessica, the 16-year-old Filipino-Mexican-American singer from San Diego, California will be up against Phillip Phillips, a 21-year-old guitar playing rocker from Leesburg, Georgia.

Next week finale will be an interesting battle as Phillips could become the fifth guitar-playing male contestant in a row to win on ” American Idol” (David Cook, Kris Allen, Lee DeWyze and Scotty McCreery won on Seasons 7, 8, 9 and 10 respectively) while Jessica could become the youngest “American Idol” winner with Asian and Latino roots.

American Idol Season 11 airs on Fox on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8/7c. Ryan Seacrest hosts the show, while Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez were the panel of judges. Interscope Records Chairman Jimmy Iovine, a songwriter and producer, serves as an in-house mentor to work with the contestant on a weekly basis.

Beyonce Knowles was named the “World’s Most Beautiful Woman 2012” by People Magazine.

The 30-year old singing superstar and style icon topped the list of beautiful ladies in the entertainment industry but revealed in an exclusive interview to the magazine that being a Mom to her baby daughter Blue Ivy Carter is her proudest title.

I feel more beautiful than I’ve ever felt because I’ve given birth,…. I have never felt so connected, never felt like I had such a purpose on this earth.

The best thing about having a daughter is having a true legacy. The word ‘love’ means something completely different now.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are officially engaged!

“Yes, it’s confirmed. It is a promise for the future and their kids are very happy. There’s no date set at this time,” Pitt’s spokeswoman Cynthia Pett-Dante told the press.

“There’s no date set at this time,” the statement added.

Pitt and Jolie have been a couple since 2005 and have six children together – Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne.

Reports say that all six kids were in attendance when 48 year old Pitt presents the 16-carat ring he co-designed with jeweler Robert Procop to 36 year old Jolie.

In connection with the good news, Brad and Angie together with their kids also went to Galapagos Island on April 23 to celebrate their engagement.

Congratulations to the newly engaged couple!!!

AnnaSophia Robb has been spotted in New York City shooting the upcoming CW series, ‘The Carrie Diaries.’

The 18-year-old actress who gained prominence with starring roles in ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ in 2005 and ‘Bridge of Terabithia’ in 2007 will be playing the teenage Carrie Bradshaw in the ‘Sex and the City’ television prequel.

It is also noted that The CW’s ‘The Carrie Diaries’ is totally different from the spicy hot HBO show ‘The Sex and the City’ as the story revolves around Carrie in high school, her crush Sebastina Kydd and dealing with the most popular girl in school, Donna LaDonna.

‘The Carrie Diaries’ is one of the most hyped television show this year. In fact, earlier reports even confirmed that Blake Lively, Elizabeth Olsen, Emma Roberts and Selena Gomez has been cast for the key roles but none of this celebrity buzz came true.

Anyway, at least the earlier reports about the spin-off is true!

Actor George Clooney, his father Nick and other activists were arrested during a protest outside the Sudan Embassy in Washington D.C. on March 16, 2012, Friday morning.

Reports say that Clooney was leading a protest in front of the Sudan Embassy when he was arrested by the uniformed division of the U.S. Secret Service for a misdemeanor offense.

But fans don’t get to worry as Clooney didn’t stay long from jail when he bailed out for $100 after 2 p.m.

Spice Girls may reunite this year for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee at the Buckingham Palace on June 4 in front of the Royal Family. The news came from Melanie Brown during an interview on Australian TV.

The Spice Girls were a British pop girl group formed in 1994. The group comprised Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice), Melanie Brown (Scary Spice), Emma Bunton (Baby Spice), Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice), and Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice). They were signed to Virgin Records and released their debut single, “Wannabe” in 1996, which hit number-one in more than 30 countries and helped establish the group as a “global phenomenon”.

But reports say that Victoria Beckham is not too keen about the reunion and was said to be very busy with other projects.

The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee is part-organised by Gary Barlow and will air live on BBC One, BBC One HD and BBC Radio 2 in the UK. American viewers will be able to watch exclusive highlights on ABC on June 5.
