Controversial radio host Mo Twister (real life: Mohan Gumatay) along with fellow DJs Tin Gamboa (@suzy899) and Mia Bayuga (@Mia899) were suspended for two weeks for starting a Twitter hashtag while their Magic 89.9 radio program “GoodTimes” was on air on May 9, 2012.

It was reported that the hashtag became a trending topic in the Philippines but it also received a lot of hate comments as well.

Charice herself said on her official twitter account that she thought Mo was nice and that he was “unbelievable.” She tweeted:

Too bad. Remember, you interviewed me? I thought you were nice. Anyway, I should talk to you FACE TO FACE.

@djmotwister you are unbelievable. I thought you were nice. I hope you have a good lawyer.

Mo Twister already posted a public apology on his Twitter account (@djmotwister). He said:

I want to take the opportunity to apologize to Charice for a stupid & cruel joke on our show today. We attempted to be funny at her.

We apologize Charice for our stupid behavior and immature attempt to generate laughs. You have worked so very hard, not just for yourself and your family, but to put our country in a positive light, to promote immense Filipino talent, and you have done that successfully.

We are proud of you and we are embarrassed because we failed to support that. I wish I could make it up to you and rest assured-that we will exhaust every avenue to do so. We are sorry. You’ve been nothing but supportive of our show in the past. We failed to show our appreciation today.

Meanwhile, both camps deleted those tweets pertaining the hashtag incident.

So, does it mean Charice has forgiven what Mo Twister has done one day ago?

“Megastar” Sharon Cuneta announced that she will be resting from using Twitter after defending herself and daughter against haters, bashers and cyberbullies.

Sharon’s outrage initially started when she received unpleasant messages and photos coming allegedly from “Piolo’s die-hard fans”. Piolo Pascual is the ex-boyfriend of Sharon’s daughter, KC Concepcion.

Cuneta started using the micro-blogging site Twitter in January this year, shortly after her birthday.

The Megastar who reportedly signed a 1 billion peso contract with network TV5 is slated to make a grand TV comeback via a daytime talk show soon.

A statement reportedly said by Oprah Winfrey regarding the Miss Universe 2011 beauty pageant results has been confirmed untrue. The hoax statement reads:

I have reservations with the results. If the only basis is the Q and A portion…, after having been trimmed
down to 5, Ms. Philippines deserved to win. What made her different from the rest is that she had no seconds to rethink of her answer as she had no interpreter to break the ice. The rest had their interpreters and having breaks on seconds to think about their answers. Hands down, Ms. Philippines answered straight to the point.

So, what can I say?

Readers: please don’t believe on everything that you read on the internet! Verify it first.

Anyway, whether Miss Oprah Winfrey say that or not – I still agree with the statement as Shamcey Supsup indeed answer the questions intelligently and straight to the point.

But then again I guess, the crown is not really meant for Miss Philippines Shamcey Supsup as the judges faced a lot pressure from the crowd during the time Miss Angola Leila Lopes is answering her question from Broadway star Lea Salonga.

Oh well – I am still proud of Shamcey nonetheless as she stood up for the rest of the Filipino people around the world and for me,  that is a job well done already.

Filipino-English celebrity model and TV host Georgina Wilson is currently creating a buzz these days due to her controversial tweet regarding Paris Hilton’s rumored courtesy call to Philippine President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III.

The “Queen of Print Media” started to receive a lot of criticisms when she posted this statement dated August 14:

why is PNoy taking time out of his ‘busy’ schedule to meet with Paris Hilton tomorrow. So shameful that he doesn’t have better things to do.

But, it appears that some Filipino Twitter users did not approve to her remark. Hence, Georgina received a lot of reactions over her posts:

Don’t be such a hater, Georgina Wilson! Paris Hilton is waaaaaay better than youuuu ~ says @charlenedacara

@madoxified on the other hand tweets: “The only reason why Georgina Wilson has strong opinions re Paris is because she doesn’t have the opportunity to meet her.”

Inspite of receiving criticisms over the issue, Georgina clarified her side in an interview conducted yesterday, August 17. She said:

It’s not a personal thing.

It has nothing to do with me not liking Paris or not. I mean, I’m happy that she loves the Philippines and I think she’s very supportive with Manny Pacquiao and all of that.

But I also don’t think that it’s necessary for the president to meet her because she’s here on a commercial endeavor.

If she’s here for, you know, to help with humanitarian causes and all of that stuff, then sure, go meet with her. But that’s just my opinion.

She also added that she learned a lot from this experience and she’s happy that people on the social networking site have a reaction-where it be positive or negative from her opinion.

Move over Rebecca Black and make room for Jamie Lynn Spears’ 3 year old daughter – Maddie Briann Aldridge.

The cute kid has recently hit You Tube with a cover of Britney Spears’ hit song “Up N’ Down” which make the aunt proud of her ‘performance’.  Britney even tweeted this message for her niece:

OMG! Check out my niece Maddie covering Aunt Britney’s Up N Down. Sooooo adorable!

As of this day, the video was viewed by over 1 million people in just a few days.
