Philippine President Noynoy “PNoy” Aquino III finally admitted that he is dating Korean born entertainment host and disc jockey Grace Lee.  In an ambush interview with the media on Wednesday, PNoy confirmed:

 Well, we are seeing each other.

Lee verified the report on the same day through her television show. She said:

 What the President said is true…There is no room for clarification because (what the President said) was simple and truthful.

The 51-year-old most eligible bachelor in the Philippines first met  the 29-year-old TV and radio personality during an event in Cebu last year, where Lee was a co-host.

Lee was born and raised in Seoul, but moved to the Philippines at the age of 10 because of her father’s business, which involved importing Korean cars. She studied from third grade to senior high school at St. Paul College in Pasig City and graduated from Ateneo de Manila University, where she obtained her Communication Arts degree. Before becoming a TV host, she has been hosting events for Korean-Filipino communities as well as being an official interpreter for Malacañang.

So, is Grace Lee the upcoming First Lady of the Philippines?

Life imitates art.

Iranian actress Marzieh Vafamehr has been sentenced to 90 lashes and a year in jail for her role in “My Tehran for Sale” – a film about a young actress in Tehran whose theater work is banned by the authorities.

The controversial movie received harsh criticism in the conservative circles and had not been approved for screening in Iran and was being distributed in the country illegally.

Vafamehr was arrested in July after appearing in ‘My Tehran for Sale,’ which came under harsh criticism in conservative circles as the film was accused of painting a black picture of Iran and Iranians.

Marianly Tejada Burgos representing Duarte was crowned Reina Nacional de Belleza República Dominicana 2011 or Miss World Dominican Republic 2011 on September 20, 2011 at La Fiesta Theater of the Renaissance Santo Domingo Jaragua Hotel in Santo Domingo. She will represent the Dominican Republic in Miss World 2011 Pageant.

Catherine Ramírez Rosario was the first runner-up and was crowned Miss Internacional Dominicana 2011. She will represent the Dominican Republic in Miss International 2011 in Chengdu, China. Sally Aponte was named second runner-up and was crowned Miss Supranational Dominican Republic 2012. She will compete in Poland next year.

True to life heroine!

British actress Kate Winslet saved herself, her two children and Richard Branson’s 90-year-old mother Eve from a flaming home while on vacation at Branson’s Great House on Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands.

The Academy Award-winning actress was staying at Virgin Group CEO’s multi-million private-island getaway when the fire broke out. Branson is now all praising Winslet’s for carrying his 90-year-old mother to safety. He even thanked Kate on his blog:

We had a tropical storm with winds up to 90mph. A big lightning storm came around 4am and hit the house. My son Sam and nephew Jack rushed to the house and helped get everyone out and many thanks to Kate Winslet for helping to carry my 90 year old mum out of the main house to safety – she was wondering when a Director was going to shout CUT!

Bravo Kate – I salute you for being a heroine on and off camera!

You are indeed admirable.

Filipino-English celebrity model and TV host Georgina Wilson is currently creating a buzz these days due to her controversial tweet regarding Paris Hilton’s rumored courtesy call to Philippine President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III.

The “Queen of Print Media” started to receive a lot of criticisms when she posted this statement dated August 14:

why is PNoy taking time out of his ‘busy’ schedule to meet with Paris Hilton tomorrow. So shameful that he doesn’t have better things to do.

But, it appears that some Filipino Twitter users did not approve to her remark. Hence, Georgina received a lot of reactions over her posts:

Don’t be such a hater, Georgina Wilson! Paris Hilton is waaaaaay better than youuuu ~ says @charlenedacara

@madoxified on the other hand tweets: “The only reason why Georgina Wilson has strong opinions re Paris is because she doesn’t have the opportunity to meet her.”

Inspite of receiving criticisms over the issue, Georgina clarified her side in an interview conducted yesterday, August 17. She said:

It’s not a personal thing.

It has nothing to do with me not liking Paris or not. I mean, I’m happy that she loves the Philippines and I think she’s very supportive with Manny Pacquiao and all of that.

But I also don’t think that it’s necessary for the president to meet her because she’s here on a commercial endeavor.

If she’s here for, you know, to help with humanitarian causes and all of that stuff, then sure, go meet with her. But that’s just my opinion.

She also added that she learned a lot from this experience and she’s happy that people on the social networking site have a reaction-where it be positive or negative from her opinion.

Reports say that actress/singer Jennifer Hudson is now a size zero, after shedding 80 pounds in two years!

The former American Idol contestant was recently seen at a Chicago fundraiser earlier this week singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to President Barack Obama, where she appeared in a slim fitting black mini dress.

The story focuses on Diana and what could she have been doing today. The author Tina Brown imagine the late Princess having a Facebook page and what she would be tweeting to who she would be dating.

It’s obvious that Catherine, the new Duchess of Cambridge (aka Kate Middleton) is inspired by Grace Kelly, the beloved famous Hollywood actress who wed Prince Rainier III of Monaco in 1956.

Interestingly, Kate’s gown looks strikingly similar to the Princess Grace of Monaco‘s wedding dress starting from the long sleeve lace, veil, identical tiara and down to the short train.

I have just come back from a staggered vacation so I wasn’t able to blog the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton last April 29. Well, based on the pictures, it was indeed a story book fairy tale wedding!

Kate Middleton, or the Duchess of Cambridge as we should probably now be calling her was simply elegant in an Alexander Mc Queen wedding gown designed by Sarah Burton. The gown was sooo Grace Kelly!!! At first I thought, it was not that original since a Princess of Monaco has worn a similar gown but anyway, the Duchess of Cambridge seems to love timeless style so two thumbs up for the choice of the gown.

Oh well, besides the Duchess of Cambridge, I have also checked out the outfits of her guests as soon as I went back online. Listed below are the ladies that caught my attention.

Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Asturias

I just love her understated elegance. The old rose dress plus the simple hat screams elegance. Princess Letizia looked every inch of a royal princess in this outfit.

Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden

Crown Princess Victoria, the heiress-apparent to the Swedish throne is also elegant in her orange outfit with matching orange hat. IMHO, that’s how a royal princess should looked like every official engagement!

David Beckham and Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham channeled the Audrey Hepburn look but I was not comfortable with her Christian Louboutin shoes
as she is seven months pregnant for goodness sake! Oh Posh, I was so happy that you didn’t trip on those heel!

Crown Prince Willem Alexander and Princess Maxima of the Netherlands

Princess Maxima of the Netherlands is another chic royal princess during the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. I love the ribbon in the mid-waist and also the hat placed on the bun of her hair. Gorgeous!

Pippa Middleton

As we all know, Pippa Middleton became the most famous bridesmaid right after the Royal Wedding. Oh well, I guess she deserves all the attention she’s getting because she was a perfect Chief bridesmaid during that day. I also think that she’s the prettier version of the Duchess. Just an opinion by the way.

I love the colors of the dresses but the hats? Hmmm….

Chelsea Davy

I love the color of Chelsea Davy’s outfit. I even like the silhouette. However, I am not a fan of the top which looks like a jacket.

The Duchess of Cornwall in Anne Valentine creation. As always, she goes for pleats and I have seen her wearing this kind of outfit on her many many times!

Sofia Silva Inserri, the first woman to be crowned Miss Venezuela in 1952 passed aways last Friday, April 22, in Bogota, Colombia. She was 81 years old.

Silva, who competed in the 1st edition of Miss Universe in Long Beach, California was a press favorite during the 1952 pageant. However, she was surprisingly unplaced in the finals, and the crown went to Finnish representative Armi Kuusela.
