KC Concepcion‘s new song has literally captured my heart. In fact, I’m now having this Last Song Syndrome (LSS) ever since I have started hearing the song over the radio.

KC’s new single titled “Not Like The Movies” is the carrier single of her second album “KC” under Sony Music Philippines. “Not Like The Movies” was written by Jaye Muller and Ben Patton.

Personally, I thought that the song was well written and can be released internationally as it has a universal appeal.

Best of luck KC and may you continue to sing more beautiful songs in the future.

My instincts are right… Casey James, the 27-year-old contestant from Texas has been kicked off on American Idol. So, after the Wednesday night’s elimination, here is your American Idol Season 9 Final 2: Crystal Bowersox, 24 from Ohio and Lee Dewyze, 24 from Illinois.

Kudos to Casey James for accepting the defeat just like a true southern gentleman. The guy was so classy while performing his final song (Daughter) on the American Idol stage and made an emotional impact when he scooped up a little girl from the audience.

Anyway…

Best of luck Casey!

I believe this is just a beginning of your wonderful career.

Being buried inside a cave for several days really makes a person unaware of what is happening in cable channel. Gosh, I haven’t realized that my ‘favorite American Idol contestant’ might be headed for the win! Thanks Reyna Elena for the Facebook shoutout. It reminded me to be a little bit ‘back on my feet’ nowadays.

Anyway…

I heard that my favorite American Idol Season 9 contestant Casey James made it to the top 3. Whoa, best of luck Casey! Oh boy, let me also remind you that being in the top 3 is an accomplishment already.

Meet Lin Yu Chun, a contestant on Super Star Avenue TV talent show competition (similar to American Idol) in Taiwan on April 2, 2010 who brought the house down with his rendition of Whitney Houston’s  ‘I Will Always Love You’.

The boy sings like Whitney Houston and is now being called the next ‘Susan Boyle’ due to his enormous popularity on the web.

My prediction might sound a little too early, but he could be the next singing superstar sensation!

And you thought a child singing lesson wouldn’t pay off, huh?

Erykah Badu’s new video ‘Window Seat’ is causing a stir as it went viral following its release on Monday, March 29, 2010.

The provocative five minute video of Badu slowly taking off all her clothes while walking along the streets of Dallas, Texas reportedly raised eyebrows from her fans and music observers alike as Badu parades through Dealey Plaza, a spot where President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in 1963!

Casey James caught my eyes this Season 9 of the American Idol as I find this country-soul singer a possible star in the future.

Here are the reasons why:

• Though, not an obvious candidate for the win, he is seemed to be the fans’ favorite.
• Hollywood loves that gorgeous looks! He reminds me so much of my eternal crush, Brad Pitt! *blush*
• His look is easy on the eyes and his voice blends well with his guitar.

And lastly…

Casey James can be a good replacement for the gorgeous country singer Keith Urban considering the latter is now married to Nicole Kidman. ~LOL~

Oh well…

I personally believe that Casey James will go far with or without the ‘American Idol Season 9’ title just like Jennifer Hudson.

So, in the meantime – let’s all wait and see how he croons the adoring fans like me.

Susan Boyle: New Queen of Pop?

Susan Boyle has just proven that she is indeed a contender for the title “Queen of Pop” by selling a staggering 700,000 copies of her debut album, “I Dreamed a Dream.”

Boyle’s album also smash sales record by debuting at No. 1!

Interestingly, ‘The Britain’s Got Talent’ singing sensation’s album also made history by becoming the best-selling debut week of 2009 and the best-selling week for a debut album by a female in the history of the Billboard SoundScan era.

Whoa, congratulations Susan Boyle! Keep up the good work!

Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson, the sensationally gifted child singer who rose to fame for such hits as Thriller, Beat It and Billie Jean died Thursday from cardiac arrest. He was 50 years old.

According to his brother Randy Jackson, the King of Pop has reportedly collapsed at his home in the Holmby Hills section of Los Angeles, California about noon Pacific Time due to cardiac arrest. He died at the UCLA Medical Center.

His death came as shocking news to everyone as Jackson was rehearsing hard for what was to be his greatest comeback. He was scheduled to appear for 50 shows at a London area starting July 13.

He is survived by his three children (Michael Joseph Jackson Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince “Blanket” Michael Jackson II), his eight siblings (Rebbie, Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, La Toya, Marlon, Randy and Janet) and his parents, Joseph and Katherine.

So long Michael, the music world will surely miss you!
