Nike just released its first post-scandal ad featuring superstar golfer Tiger Woods in a simple black and white shot that has the voice of Woods’ late father Earl, speaking to his son saying:

Tiger, I am more prone to be inquisitive, to promote discussion. I want to find out what your thinking was. I want to find out what your feelings are.

And did you learn anything?

Nike, a major sportswear in the United States is one of the few corporate sponsors to stay with Tiger since his extra-marital affair issues leaked out to the public.

It has been reported that Tiger Woods will return to play professional golf.

The announcement was revealed through his website on Tuesday (March 16). Woods said in a statement:

The Masters is where I won my first major, and I view this tournament with great respect. After a long and necessary time away from the game, I feel like I’m ready to start my season at Augusta.

The major championships have always been a special focus in my career and, as a professional, I think Augusta is where I need to be, even though it’s been awhile since I last played.

I have undergone almost two months of inpatient therapy, and I am continuing my treatment. Although I’m returning to competition, I still have a lot of work to do in my personal life.

When I finally got into a position to think about competitive golf again, it became apparent to me that the Masters would be the earliest I could play. I called both Joe Lewis and Arnold Palmer and expressed my regrets for not attending the Tavistock Cup and the Arnold Palmer Invitational. I again want to thank them both for their support and their understanding. Those are fantastic tournaments, and I look forward to competing in them again.

I would also like to thank the Augusta National members and staff for their support. I have deep appreciation for everything that they do to create a wonderful event for the benefit of the game.

The superstar golfers’ pronouncement marks the end of his 144-day exile away from the media. This will also officially end his self-imposed break from the scandals and would give him a good start to restore his tarnished reputation.

Manny ‘Pacman’ Pacquaio has beaten Joshua ‘Grand Master’ Clottey.

It has been reported that the Filipino pound-for-pound boxer retained his WBO welterweight title by a unanimous decision.

Sources say that Clottey started tremendously defensive but Pacquiao managed to punch Clottey strongly throughout the game. News and reliable sources also reported that the Filipino boxing superstar dominated the match leaving Clottey with few strategies while fighting.

The boxing match lasted for 12 rounds wherein Pacquiao threw 1231 punches against Clottey, 399.

Well done, Manny. Mabuhay ka!

The boxing match between Manny ‘Pacman’ Pacquiao and Joshua ‘Grand Master’ Clottey is about to start today. These two great boxers are now getting ready to rumble at the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Dallas, Texas.

It has been reported that the pound-for-pound boxer Manny Pacquiao is having an affair with sexy actress Krista Ranillo. Rumor has it that Manny and Krista were earlier seen together in Hongkong. The news got even bigger when Krista was spotted with Manny in Las Vegas, Nevada during the Jimmy Kimmel show.

So, how true is the love affair? Chuvachienes reported that:

Malaman ang text message na ipinadala ni Jinkee Pacquaio sa The Buzz host na si Kris Aquino hinggil sa patuloy na intrigang may namamagitan umano sa boxing champ na si Manny Pacquiao at actress na si Krista Ranillo. Kinumusta kasi ni Kris si Jinkee dahil sa laban ni Manny kay Miguel Cotto noong Linggo (November 15) at sumagot umano sa text si Jinkee kay Kris at sinabing mag-uusap umano sila ni Manny pagkatapos ng kanyang laban. May iba pa umanong karugtong ang text message ni Jinkee na may kinalaman sa isyu subalit hindi na ito isiniwalat pa ni Kris. “ I think is too private to share,” pahayag ni Kris.

Honestly, I am not fan of boxing but..

I am a wife and of course I feel for Jinkee and her pain. At bakit naman hindi ako sisimpatiya para sa kanya? Jinkee is always there naman for Manny di ba? I mean, she and Manny have been through a lot even before he becomes wealthy and famous.

It has been reported that tennis superstar Serena Williams lost a semi-final match in the 2009 U.S. Open match because of her temper.

The bizarre incident happened when a lineswoman called Williams for a foot fault to set up match point for Kim Clijsters. Apparently, Williams argued spitefully and then scolded the judge angrily with profanity. Then, Williams picked up again a second code violation for unsportsmanlike conduct, but she had no points left to give.

Hmmm, based on my research Serena isn’t known for her temper. From the looks of it too, Serena let it get the best of her tonight. Geez, I assumed that made her upset. Oh well…

Michael Jordan was elected to the to the class of 2009 into the Basketball Hall of Fame last Friday night.

Humble and reflective Michael Jordan clears the air through his heartwarming speech on why his competitive fire never will be extinguished as he officially entered the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. In fact, MJ’s gratitude list went well beyond friends and family as he thanked all those people who added ‘wood to the fire’ and motivated him throughout his amazing career.

Interestingly, Jordan was honored at the ceremony along with David Robinson, John Stockton and coaches Jerry Sloan and Vivian Springer.

Hatton vs Pacman: What a fight!

Manny Pacquiao’s jawdropping win over Ricky Hatton truly cemented his claim to being the best pound-for-pound boxer in the world last Saturday. Apart from the fact that Manny Pacquiao became $12 million richer by this fight, the astonishing victory also proved that he is destined to be placed in the World Boxing Hall of Fame along with our very own Flash Elorde and Pancho Villa anytime soon. Wow, you are truly amazing in the ring Manny! Congratulations!

To Ricky Hatton who was knocked down throughout the fight: You certainly given your best shot, dude! Actually, your best may not be that enough for Pacman’s killer punch but hey, at least you’re beaten by the best in the world! So, cheer up Hitman because if you plan to retire soon, you are at least a wealthy man. Pocketing $8 million from the fight is not bad. Retiring as a wealthy 30-year old is not awful either, right?

And lastly, to Floyd Mayweather Sr: I am truly annoyed by your numerous comments against Manny and on how you bad-mouthed Ricky Hatton after his lost last Saturday! I mean, how could you just dumped your best man when he needs you the most? What a jerk!!!! Now, I know why your beloved son, Floyd Mayweather Jr does not even want to train with you. You should be the one retiring Grandpa!!!

The mega boxing fight of Manny Pacquiao to opponent Ricky Hatton is nearly fast approaching. Clearly, a lot of boxing fanatics out there are waiting for the big day to happen in an event slated this coming May 2, 2009 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
