Rebecca Black‘s song “Friday” which hit on You Tube last February 10, 2011 is giving me a Last Song Syndrome (LSS) nowadays but honestly I find the lyrics absurd.

Why? Here is the perfect example:

Hmmm, what do you think? Is her song strangely catchy or pretty awful?

As for me, I think it’s both! ~LOL~

Anyway, looks like the lyrics is working well on Black’s favor as her video has already reached 14 million hits as of posting time.

Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is worried about the new Barbie Video Girl made by Mattel as the doll is equipped with camera lens in her necklace and video screen on her back.

So, what’s the problem with that?

According to the FBI memo (PDF) taken from Huffington Post, the toy could become ‘a possible child pornography production method’ because the new doll can capture 30 minutes of footage which is downloadable to a computer.

But special representative Steve Dupre said the warning is “not meant to be like a consumer safety warning, where someone’s going to get hurt if they use the doll. It’s for law enforcement officers to simply be aware that the doll could contain evidence when investigating child pornography cases.”

The fashion doll is no stranger to controversy. Over the years, Barbie has been criticized to everything from promoting an unrealistic body image to uttering that “Math class is tough.”

But should the parents be really concerned about the warning?

Filipino boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao has once again proven his great fighting skills when he won the vacant WBC Super Welterweight Title over Mexico’s pride Antonio Margarito in Texas, USA.

I’ve have watched the boxing match via live stream and I must say that the boxer-politician emerged powerful despite of the size difference. Margarito was the biggest boxer he has fought in his professional career but his superhuman stamina has proven that a ‘David vs Goliath’ match is indeed possible over the ring.

At present, Manny Pacquiao is indeed the ‘ONE’ to beat in the boxing arena as he now officially holds the record of the first and only boxer in the history to win titles in eight different categories of weight and also to win it in lineal championship.

Rumor has it that Pacquiao would retire right after the Pacquaio vs Margarito fight but there were no official statement released at this moment.

So, will Floyd Mayweather Jr. be the next in Manny Pacquaio’s boxing casualties? Will their ‘super fight’ ever take place?

Let us wait and see then…

Yes, guys and gals – not even the charisma of the top politicians of the hour such as the first African-American President Barack Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton or even the death of Dark Knight’s Heath Ledger weakened the glitter of the drama-prone Pop Princess in 2008.

Ironically, second place goes to World Wrestling Entertainment’s soap opera chaos in the WWE stages that keep the faithful followings searching for mixed martial arts’ move and virtual wresting action online. Personal observations

Google Trends clearly showed that John McCain is not a popular persona compared to Sarah Palin during the election. Ironic, isn’t it when you are supposed to be the flag-bearer of the Republican Party? However, it’s very fascinating to know that John’s wife, Cindy was a hot political figure than Michelle Obama.

I’m also quite surprised to see that most internet-savvy people loved to read about the debate and the social security. Oh well, I hope that my fellow Filipinos would be glued on that issues too in 2010.

Fun Facts

Tina Fey impersonating Sarah Palin surely soared her popularity, wow! Chuck Norris on the other hand resurrected his popularity by endorsing Mike Huckabee for President. I’m quite surprised by this information too because I have never thought of Chuck to be political, you know! (*LOL*). However, what made me wonder is the total invisibility of Hillary Clinton right after her presidential aspiration in the Democratic Party.
