Miss America 2012 will be the 91st Miss America pageant. It will be held at the Theatre for the Performing Arts in Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas in January 14, 2012. Miss America 2011, Teresa Scanlan from Nebraska, will crown her successor at the end of this event. It will be broadcast live on ABC. All 50 states plus the District of Columbia, Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico will compete for the prestigious title. Chris Harrison and Brooke Burke are, once again, hosts of the pageant.

Malaysia’s Aileen Gabriella Robinson was crowned Miss Tourism International 2011 at the Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa on December 31, 2011. The 22 year old winner from the host country defeated 53 other contestants representing their respective countries.
The crowning of Miss Tourism International was telecast live over RTM1, and witnessed by thousands of revellers at Dataran Merdeka, prior to the 2012 countdown.
